Camera blocking and composition

A enters through the doorway, turns toward the center and pauses; B is already at the back. The opening follows A, the middle reveals B and the ending clarifies the shared space. There is no door-opening animation or automatic character gaze solver.

Shot-by-shot breakdown

  1. Follow the entrance
    0–3 s

    1. Follow the entrance

Approach the room with the entering character.

  2. Reveal the guest
    3–7 s

    2. Reveal the guest

    Show who was already inside.

  3. Shared space
    7–12 s

    3. Shared space

Place both people in one readable frame.

Try it in your own scene

Move B, delay the reveal cut, and extend the pause after A stops.

About this example

How can the discovery feel more sudden? Control when B becomes visible before adjusting pace. Faster walking alone does not create surprise.
